Oh My, It’s May!
May invites us to loosen our grip on the calendar and rediscover the value of unhurried time. For us, that often leads to Canton, Texas, a small town that has become one of our favorite traditions. It’s not about stepping away because life feels overwhelming, but about choosing to be intentional. Leaving routine behind to reconnect and enjoy one another without distraction.
A day in Canton offers just that kind of rhythm. We wander through First Monday Trade Days, spending time among antiques, handmade goods, and local treasures. Between exploring charming shops, sharing Texas barbecue or a milkshake from Dairy Palace, and occasionally stopping by YesterLand Farm, the day unfolds without pressure or agenda, reminding us how meaningful simple time together can be.
What we value most isn’t what comes home with us, but what stays behind. Time away recalibrates our hearts, giving us margin to breathe, laugh, and return more present for everyday life. We hope you have a place that allows you to step away with intention and fully enjoy the people you love.
Happy Relaxing,
Amy Dettmer
