It's April - No Fooling!
“Christos Voskrese!” (Christ has risen)- a phrase my mother would say each year as the Easter season approached. Growing up in the loving home of a Slavic mother and a Polish father, Easter was uniquely celebrated in our home. We would ornately paint eggs, enjoy a money hunt, eat a lavish meal upon the ending of lent, and attend mass where my uncle served as the Priest.
The coming of Spring has been celebrated differently across time and cultures, but when you pull back the bunnies and plastic eggs, there is a common thread- fresh beginnings! This month I want to challenge you to stop and ask yourself, “What needs refreshed?” What relationships, what self care, what mindsets, or what values have I allowed to wither?
It’s said, what we feed grows. This April, decide what in your life you will feed to see fresh growth. Like the new blooms of spring, grow what is most beautiful in your life. For me, I’ll continue to cherish the Easter greeting of my late mother and pass on the beauty of its response- “Voistynu Voskres!” (Indeed He is risen)
Happy Easter,
Beth Gaskill
Congratulations to our March homeowners!
