The Gaskill Group LOVES our furry friends! We just learned that March 4-10 is Professional Pet Sitters Week ... which made us think about how much we depend on our pet sitter ... which then made us think about all the pets in Flower Mound. Our pets are like members of the family here!
What does this have to do with real estate, you might wonder? Well, if you’re considering a move to Flower Mound and surrounding areas, you already know what a wonderful location it is in which to live and educate your children. Did you also know how much we have to offer your pets?
Pet Sitters: Pet Sitters International lists 11 pet sitters in our area ... Pet Sitters Associates lists 48. The point is, there are no shortages of pet sitters in our area. From feeding and walking while you're at work to long term vacation pet-sitting, your pet will be well cared for.
Pet Boarding: If you prefer to board your pet while on holiday, countless Pet Boarding and Daycare businesses showed up in a google search. But from experience, plan to book early, especially for the major holidays!
Doggy Day Care: Dogs seem to LOVE day camp, and what's not to love? Regular exercise - socialization - lots to do - loving counselors. The Flower Mound area boasts several doggy day care facilities.
Pet Grooming: according to yelp.com, there are at least 24 grooming salons in the area. Yep, our pets are gorgeous!!!
Dog Parks: We boast three major dog parks in our area: The Hound Mound in Flower Mound, Dog Park at Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park, and the Highland Village Dog Park at Unity Park. Hours, and rules, are posted on each Dog Park’s website.
Pet Stores: We counted at least 15 pet stores in this area, including feed stores, major chain stores, and boutique-style stores. GREAT places to find an extra special treat for Fido, but also for training, boarding, food and some even offer grooming and veterinary services! (yelp.com)
Out of the ordinary:The Charming Cat Cafe is a public setting located in Music City Mall in Lewisville, where people can visit (and hopefully adopt) the foster cats who live on premise.
Dog-Friendly Restaurant Patios: Yes, our area has them! Dogs aren’t allowed on every patio, but those restaurants who are approved by the city (after an application and inspection process) will post a sign. List of dog-friendly restaurants can be found here.
Pet Adoption: Don’t have a pet? Numerous pet adoption organizations serve our area, in addition to the animal Service Departments in each city (Highland Village, Flower Mound and Lewisville).
Volunteering for the Animals: A google search will turn up countless organizations that can use your help, from Ranch Hand Rescue to Humane Tomorrow, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, The Street Dog Project, and so many more. We love our animals! 
Veterinarians: 16 Veterinarians are listed on Yelp.com in Flower Mound alone. That doesn’t include surrounding areas, like Lewisville and Highland Village. Your pet’s health will be in good hands!
