Sandbrock Ranch, a master planned community, is coming to Aubrey in Denton County! The 800-acre development will hold 2,600 homes at buildout. The development is located on part of a 2,400-acre ranch located at FM1385 and Bonar Road, and co-owned by Highland Homes founders Rod Sanders and Jean Ann Brock.
Often called the "horse capital" of Texas, Aubrey was founded in 1881 and continues to reflect a small town atmosphere and country life-style. A short drive north of Dallas, Sandbrock Ranch is conveniently located off 380, just west of the Dallas North Tollway.
Houses are predicted to start near $250,000. Model homes are scheduled to open in June 2018. The new community will include a community center with swimming pool and splash park, and a workout room. Land has been designated for a Denton ISD elementary school. Sandbrock Ranch will also feature two lakes, hike and bike paths, event lawns, play areas, recreational fields and an outdoor ampitheater.
Expected builders, so far, are David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes and Perry Homes. Highland Homes was founded in 1985 and is now one of North Texas' largest builders, building more than 2,800 homes yearly in Austin, DFW, Houston and San Antonio.
