Hello, April; Let’s Grow!
The Easter season lives in that space between what was and what’s to come, a time marked by the passing of traditions from generation to generation. Parades, egg hunts, bunny photos, and beloved Easter recipes adorn tables, each one carrying its own story.
For us, Easter begins with a traditional money hunt, followed by Easter service, and ends with Easter lunch. In our home, among all the dishes on the table, you’re guaranteed to find one we simply call Easter Cheese. Truthfully, we don’t make this Slovak dish because we love the taste or because it’s particularly beautiful. We spend an entire day cooking down milk and eggs, then allow the remaining ball to hang in the garage overnight to dry, simply because it’s tradition.
Traditions carry our family identities, offering comfort and connection to a shared history. The time spent passing them along creates moments filled with laughter and love, forming new links in your family’s history chain. This Easter, be intentional about passing down what was so generously passed down to you, your traditions.
Happy Sharing!
