Resolution Revolution!
Growing up in Ohio, nothing thrilled me more than waking up to the world transformed by fresh snowfall. I’d watch as the snow piled high, soft and untouched. I’d rush outside, bundled up and ready to explore. With each step taken, snowmen and forts built, or paths explored, I left my mark on the world. This white world was my invitation to create.
The snow didn’t stay perfect for long. My footprints, snow angels, and trails of adventure had changed it. But that was the beauty of it! The snow wasn’t meant to remain untouched; it was meant to be shaped, molded, and played in. Just like life, it was a canvas waiting for us to begin, imperfect, temporary, yet full of promise for what could be made from it.
Embrace this new year like that first snowfall; clean, full of potential, and ready for our creativity to leave its mark. Whether you build something lasting or simply find joy in the making, use the blank slate before us to create new memories, new dreams, and new beginnings. After all, the beauty isn’t just in the snow, it’s in what we do with it.
Happy New Year,
Amy Dettmer
